Saturday Service Project (10:00AM-2:00PM)

SCA New Hampshire is all about service! Join us for a few hours of service and leave your mark through completing these legacy projects that will make camp an even more comfortable home for future Bear Brookers!

Lunch and snacks will be provided SCA NH style! Meaning we will provide the fixings, you create your own -- just like in the old days! Lunch items will be put out at 9:00 am. Please bring a Tupperware or similar container to pack your lunch in.

Meet up in the field at 10:00 am for an announcement circle. We will issue PPE as required for the project, break up into teams, and tackle the list! If you plan to attend the service project, please come with long pants, sturdy footwear, gloves, and a water bottle.

20-Year Anniversary Recognition Ceremony (4:00PM):

The 20-Year Anniversary Recognition Ceremony will begin at 4:00. Please plan to arrive at Spruce Pond Camp by 3:30 to assure a prompt start. Several speakers from the program’s past will share inspirational thoughts and stories about what SCA New Hampshire means to them. Join us in celebrating the program’s members, staff, and partners.

Festivities (8:00PM-onward):

Post-ceremony festivities begin at 8:00 pm. Please bring your musical instruments and other things you want to share with the group. This will be an informal family-friendly affair meant to allow time to catch up with old friends and meet alumni from other years. Sing a song. Start an impromptu band. Tell some jokes. Read a poem. Mingle, create, and share! Alcohol is permitted but will not be provided, so plan to bring your own spirits of choice.

On-Site Accommodations:

We realize many of you will choose to stay at a nearby hotel. However, we welcome you to come stay at Bear Brook for the weekend. Unfortunately we will be unable to open the cabins for use during that time. We are offering sites at Bear Brook Campground. Please come prepared with your own tent, sleeping bag, and cooking equipment. You will have access to potable water at the program site; however, the campground facilities will be closed for the winter. We will be providing portable toilets and jugs of potable water at the campground for your use. To help cover the costs of renting the toilets we will be asking for a donation of $10.00 per site per night with a limit of 2 tents per site. You can pay us directly in cash or check when you arrive.

The campground will be open for Friday and Saturday night. If you intend to camp please complete the Camping Accommodations section on your registration.

Food:

We will be providing dinner on Saturday night and lunch on Saturday for those joining in the service projects. All other meals must be provided by you. Due to space limitations and the need to use the kitchen for preparing Saturday lunch and dinner please do not plan to use the kitchen for meal preparation.

Please mention any dietary restrictions on your online registration. All meals provided will be vegetarian.

Airport Shuttles:

We will be offering airport shuttles to and from Manchester Airport. We will have a pick-up shuttle on Friday afternoon and a drop-off shuttle on Sunday morning. We will choose specific shuttle times once we have a better idea of everyone’s flights and who will be using the shuttle service -- but will likely be around a 5:00 pm pick-up and 10:00 am drop-off. So please plan flights accordingly.

If you intend to use the shuttle service please complete the Airport Shuttle section on your online registration.
